Origination Blog

This blog is intended to publicize the nonsense going on within the Mesa Terrace Condo Association. Every action or non-action legal or illegal will be posted on this board as public record of the activities occuring within this community. Our hope is to generate enough interest from homeowners to not only impeach the current board but sue the consulting company and the board members for intentional devaluation of the property and failure to properly represent the homeowners. If you come across this blog and have real estate or legal opinion, feel free to comment.

Basically what used to be a nice place to live has come under the control of a tyrannical nuisance known as Scott Gordon of Scott Gordon Consulting. Scott began acting as our HOA president just after the property transitioned from the builder to the owners. Since then he fired our management company and has slowly added rules, increased fines, and consolidated power to himself. He has 3-4 other folks on the board but they are pretty much useless as they have no real estate experience and are probably getting kick backs or favors by siding with Scott.

In addition to being our board president, he is our property management company, accounting entity, and website server host and compensates himself for each role. Needless to say our property values have plummeted far more than the down economy would suggest.

You can see the level of detail he holds others to but doesnt hold himself to the same. An example of a typical Scott Gordon tactic. Another example is when one of our homeowners commented that our property rules were like a Nazi camp, Scott threatened to sue for being an antisemite since he is jewish. Isnt that ridiculous?

We look forward to getting this blog up to date and continue on with each meeting, invoice, and other ridiculous action created by the clown and his band of worthless idiots.

  2. Your all right on this page, however if your a condo owner, such as I, we need to unite,and vote him and the Board out. At make Mesa Terrace a good place once again. I have stood alone in this effort. So I need your help. I have alot of story's to tell also. But most important is to remove him.

  6. Anyone have any idea how to remove this nut case Scott Gordon and others on the board? This is the worse HOA I have ever seen. He spends more time sending out fines then taking care of the place. HELP!!!

  7. Just to note, I do not care about being anonymous, in fact I would prefer to be upfront and honest about who I am. I am disgusted with this place and have only been here a few days...too many! I would love to connect with those who are against the tyrant Scott Gordon. I need to get out of here and find a more healthy place for me to live so that I can care for my grandchildren in a "friendly" safe place of which this is NOT!

  8. I am a new owner with 2 units and purchasing more. In my opinion everything that happens at Mesa Terrace is about lining the pockets of someone. It may or may not be Scott Gordon but he is the most likely person based on what I have both observed and heard. Does anyone know if SG...my pet name is Nazi and since he appears to be Jewish it is a bigger joke for me....own any units at Mesa Terrace? If he does not own units and does not control a majority of the vote then to remove him is a simple thing.

    I am pissed. I own condos all over Mesa and nowhere do I have the level of issues I have at Mesa Terrace. Frankly I am pissed. I recommend you move if you are a renter or sell if you are an owner. Unless something happens in the next few days I will be employing tactics which will alienate the tenants and bring down the value of the units. I do have the resources and contacts to make Mesa Terrace a very uncomfortable place to live.

    Any tenants looking for a place to go I will have openings at other complexes in Mesa.

    Any owners looking to sell I will pay $28k.

    If the HOA rules are re-written to be in line with other complexes and if the person who identifies the offenses is gone I will place reasonable tenants in my units.

    I own units 211 and 230 and have offers on 3 more units.

I am just now seeing your thing on here I just moved into unit 112 below your unit 211 I would love if I could possibly have you write me a letter that I can use for a character statement on Scott Gordon and what you have experience he wrote me a 31 lease with only 21 days in it tried to evict me wrongfully after I've already paid All the Monies due to him lots of things going wrong if you can help let me know

  9. Has anyone thought about contacting 3 on your side. They could do a story on HOA's gone wrong! We have lived there for less than two weeks and already have experienced the wrath of Scott Gordon. What does a person do when he wrongful tows your vehicle. I refused to pay but the towing company said they will turn it into collections.

  10. I've owned unit 117 for 7 long years and have been on the receiving end of Scott Gordon's antics the entire time. I have paid thousands in fines to this turd and the "board of directors" but find that HOAs are allowed to operate with impunity. SG takes full advantage of this avenue. I have theorized that he and some other investors were part of the original crew that bought up the old MT apartment complex back when homes were flipping daily for a profit. SG and company were putting a couple of bucks in each unit and selling them for a good profit. Then the market crashed and they were left holding a bunch of these sinkers. At some point, it became beneficial for them to drive the original buyers out (like me who paid 108K) and pick them up for a song at 25-28k with the intension of making them rentals once again. And what could be easier than forcing folks out that watched their property devalue and then fine them repeatedly for eating, drinking and breathing. All you have to do is control the "board" and draft Rules and Reg's that produce fees and fines. It's a win win for SG and the "board." As for me, I've held on and will continue to hold on. SG has a pattern of having cars towed, racking up fines for petty grievances against owners (including $50 charges for each email or phone communication w/ SG) until the fine amounts are terrifying. Then he quietly goes to the owners and offers to buy their property (at under market value) & remove all fines. After the living hell that most owners & their renters have had to live with this tyrant and the non-effective HOA, owners sell just to get away from this nightmare. SG then puts the title in his wife or relative's name. Quite the scam artist. There have been so many lawsuits against the HOA that they've had to change insurance companies and lawyers multiple times. Legal battles have taken years & so much money. SG doesn't care as he lets the HOA pay his legal fees. He has quite the racket with illegal car towing. The parking spaces are not all uniform & some of the lines by the back tires are not parallel. So the driver can't help but park w/ a tire touching the line. The car gets towed, & the resulting fines fill the pockets of not only the towing company but the Kick-back King as well. He controls the websites & has cleaned up the BBB page by the HOA not being registered. SG's illegal activities and kick-back payments are too numerous to list. He has badly hurt sooo many people. Even when a HOA member left the board & wrote emails disclosing some of the shading dealings, SG just appointed friends to the board & continued business as usual. There was a lawyer interested in litigation against SG personally, but it requires more money than most of us possess to hire her and follow through. To all you condo owners, I have to say, you have my deepest sympathy.

  13. For homeowners that are finally fed up with all the expensive antics we are organizing a class action Several owners are already onboard. We have a law firm on retainer and are preparing our case. Please email me if you are interested in becoming a party to the suit or if you have any documentation that would be helpful in the suit.
