As you will notice, everything comes with a fee at Mesa Terrace and every fee goes back to Scott Gordon consulting. He has basically fooled these inexperienced HOA board members into allowing him to handle every little detail and function of the HOA. Actions that should be voluntary are handled by Scott and his company. He then bills for each action. The board should be non-profit and all activity should be voluntary. Any fees assessed by the board should go directly to the board reserves. Instead they make Scott rich while the board is negative.
As of last month, the reserves fell by $4K and the board of directors sit back and watch it.
Stay away from anything having to do with Scott Gordon. He is sneaky and highly litigious.

Origination Blog
This blog is intended to publicize the nonsense going on within the Mesa Terrace Condo Association. Every action or non-action legal or illegal will be posted on this board as public record of the activities occuring within this community. Our hope is to generate enough interest from homeowners to not only impeach the current board but sue the consulting company and the board members for intentional devaluation of the property and failure to properly represent the homeowners. If you come across this blog and have real estate or legal opinion, feel free to comment.

Basically what used to be a nice place to live has come under the control of a tyrannical nuisance known as Scott Gordon of Scott Gordon Consulting. Scott began acting as our HOA president just after the property transitioned from the builder to the owners. Since then he fired our management company and has slowly added rules, increased fines, and consolidated power to himself. He has 3-4 other folks on the board but they are pretty much useless as they have no real estate experience and are probably getting kick backs or favors by siding with Scott.
In addition to being our board president, he is our property management company, accounting entity, and website server host and compensates himself for each role. Needless to say our property values have plummeted far more than the down economy would suggest.
He is also the owner of Canyon Ridge Properties https://canyonridgeproperties.com/ and SBBS Software and Consulting Inc and http://www.sbbs.com/

You can see the level of detail he holds others to but doesnt hold himself to the same. An example of a typical Scott Gordon tactic. Another example is when one of our homeowners commented that our property rules were like a Nazi camp, Scott threatened to sue for being an antisemite since he is jewish. Isnt that ridiculous?
